If you’ve been around the internet for a while and have been delving into making money online you’ve probably come across the following saying quite a few times: The Money is in The List!..In fact you’ve probably seen it hundreds of times.
And that statement is 100% correct. Now I’m not writing this post to try and persuade you to start a list, because the chances are that it’s already been drilled into you so much by now that you either already have a list, even if just a small one or are making plans to build a list. Which is great news.
Now you might be inclined to believe that the bigger your list the better, but that might not be necessarily true. Although a good sized list is good in theory, in practise if that list is not a quality one, so in other words a responsive list, then it’s not much use to you. You need a targeted email list full of people that consistently respond to your offers and promotions.
A small responsive list will, more times than less out perform a bigger less responsive list.
You have to gain the trust of your subscribers and make them responsive so that in turn your list converts. That means that you can’t just blindly and endlessly promote every affiliate program that seems profitable to you. Nobody wants to see promo email after promo email with no free valuable content in between to help out. That’s not how you give value to your subscribers. In fact if you only concentrate on promoting and you never offer true value, then your list is sure to run ice cold real quick.
If you help people out by educating them, by being friendly, by offering them true value and by only recommending products that you truly believe in, then your credibility goes up and your subscribers begin to really trust you. That means that you’re earning by helping others, which is a great situation to be in, wouldn’t you agree? If you’re just selling selling selling, why should anyone be interested or care.
Check Out This Email Marketing Strategy in a Nutshell
This is just a simple little strategy just to give you an example.
- Write a report or outsource the work and get someone else to write it for you on a certain topic.
- Create a professional squeeze page so that you can collect names and emails.
- Promote the squeeze page on your blog, in forums, using article marketing, ppc etc.
- Send out an email every 2-4 days packed with value every time.
Remember to send great free information in between promotions and when promoting it should be products and service that you’ve tried and that you truly believe in. No junk please.
That’s that. Success by helping others.

Affiliate marketing is hands down one of the easiest and best ways to start online as a marketer. It is a great income stream to begin with and if done right, should never dry out. Many of the big marketers you hear about know days started by being affiliates themselves and they haven’t stopped since, the only difference is that now their more like super affiliates.
So if you’re not using affiliate marketing as one of your income streams then you are leaving stacks of money on the table, it’s that simple. With that being said here are 5 tips to make your affiliate marketing more successful.
Important Tip #1: Promote Continuity Programs
It is a fact that most successful online marketers offer a product or service that has a recurring payment structure. The sort of products we are talking about here are things like membership sites, monthly services, coaching programs and so on.
These marketers are building their passive income so that they have more financial stability within their business. Some services offered, things like auto responders and hosting, customers will stay with for years paying every single month.
The bottom line for this tip is to promote great continuity programs, so that you get paid month after month and build more financial stability in your business.
Important Tip #2: Spot the Lifetime Commissions
It’s good practise to always keep an eye out for great lifetime commissions affiliate programs. There are some very smart marketers out there that have their systems set up to pay you commissions every time your referral buys something from them.
So for example let’s say you referred Michael to “Traffic Leaks Exposed” and you receive your commission for that product. You will also receive commissions for any subsequent products Michael buys from that affiliate program.
You might be asking yourself why an affiliate program owner would want to give so much, but the fact is that these types of programs attract many affiliates and they usually have a pretty solid backend system in place.
Important Tip # 3: Have a Look for Backend Offers
Many marketers online are more than happy to offer their affiliates commissions on the front and backend. Usually there’s a marketing funnel set up with an upsell, downsell or a cross sell.
A downsell example would be: You promote “Product 1″ that’s $100 for 50% commission and then the system takes over and promotes “Product 2″ automatically for $50 and 25% commission. So you get $50 on tier one and $12.50 on tier two. So in essence you get multiple commissions by only promoting the frontend product. Hope that makes sense
Important tip #4: Pre-selling
This is one of those great things that sets the average to the not so average affiliate apart. Instead of just sending visitors to the affiliate sales page, you can build trust and credibility. Talk a bit about yourself and why you’re promoting the product, it’s benefits and if you’ve had success with it, any proof you have you can show them.
The three best ways to pre-sell your prospects is by giving them a great detailed review of a product, writing a small report about the product or just pre-sell in your follow ups that you can set up to be delivered automatically in your autoresponder.
This is a powerful way to boost sales conversion so always try to warm your visitors up by pre-selling.
Important tip #5: Go for High Commission Rates
There are programs out there that pay up to 100% in commissions on certain products. These are great to go for, for obvious reasons. The marketers who own these programs know how to attract and keep their affiliates happy and still make a killing.
They have a solid backend system in place and they have multiple ways to monetize their leads, that’s how they still manage to profit. Everybody wins.
Know you are armed with some powerful knowledge to help you out in the affiliate marketing world.

Are you an affiliate marketer promoting products or services but are not getting the results that you deserve and want?
If so, check yourself against the following five mistakes and make sure that you completely eliminate any you are making.
Crucial Mistake #1: Thinking There’s a Magic Button
Although the idea of there being a magic button that you can simply press and “Boom, there’s your money”, sounds great. And believe me, most people do truly want to believe it exists. In reality the truth of the matter is that it doesn’t exist and that the true way to succeed is by working and usually by working hard at that.
The magic button is a myth and the sooner you come to grips with it’s non-existence the sooner you can start concentrating on building a real business for real people. Once you are doing that you will eventually find much more success because you will understand that you have to invest in yourself and have a real drive to constantly better yourself. That drive is what will carry you far, not chasing magic.
If all that scares you a bit, don’t let it. It’s still far easier and more rewarding than starting a brick and mortar business.
Crucial Mistake #2: Not Building Your List
If you ever want long term profits you need to be building your list. A huge mistake is found in affiliates that don’t do this and instead just send prospects straight to a merchants site.
When you spend all your time and effort promoting affiliate products and sending traffic to a merchants site, you want to make sure that you are capturing peoples details first, purely for the fact that if you don’t, then you are wasting your time.
Fewer than 5% of prospects that you send to a merchants site will buy and 95% will not. And the chances are that if you don’t capture people details that you will never see them again. You want more control over the conversion process and that is done by list building. That way you can send multiple promotions, build trust and credibility so people buy through you more, sell your own products to those people and see your business produce long term profits.
List building is a crucial skill that you must not neglect if you want to be a successful affiliate marketer.
Crucial Mistake #3: Only Promoting Products on the Front End
Did you know that the most costly affair of a business is the acquisition of its customers? Even as an affiliate your money and most importantly your time is spent trying to get people to buy.
This means that you are missing out on the value of a long term customer if you are just promoting on the front end. Your front end customers should be turned into long term buyers so that you can make more money on the back end.
I must emphasize that your front end products should still be extremely valuable since customers tend to keep buying only if they had a great experience the first time round. But after that front end get them going through your sales funnel, concentrating on the back end profits.
Crucial Mistake #4: Promoting the Wrong Products
You’d think it goes without saying but unfortunately I have to mention it because it apparently doesn’t.
When promoting any products to your list they must be of great value to your subscribers. Don’t just promote any product that’s just come out because many other people are and certainly don’t promote products without first evaluating whether their any good. That’s a recipe for disaster. If you do that, you will lose the respect of your subscribers and desensitize your list.
If you truly believe a certain product will help your subscribers, then by all means promote it, but if you have any doubts you might as well just move on to the next product. Besides if you believe in a product you’ll find it easier to sell and make more profit.
Crucial Mistake #5: Not Having Faith in Yourself
If you’ve tried to explain what you are trying to accomplish online to anyone close to you, you might have come across a common attitude that many people seem to share. They don’t really seem to understand or believe that it can be done. They tell you not to quit your day job.
Although not very nice this is a similar reaction I got and have heard many others get as well. It makes it hard to stay motivated when people carelessly throw their opinions without fully understanding.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that you must really believe in yourself and be persistent with your belief. Only then will people start to think differently and if they still don’t prove them wrong. That’s always fun
Don’t look for excuses, don’t listen to negative comments, just learn from your mistakes and carry on. Once you’ve made the decision to keep going and not stop, reaching your goals is just a matter of time.
I truly wish you the best of luck and I hope this article has helped you in some way or another. Many thanx for reading.

Let me ask you a few things:
- How long have you been trying to make money online?
- How much have you actually made?
- Ever bought a product that promises results (i.e. traffic, money, leads), by barely lifting a finger?
There are so many new products being launched daily all around the internet. Many of which claim to magic financial freedom for you instantly. Know what I’m talking about?
Well before you go wasting your time and money with those products again, here’s what you need to know.
The products in question claim their greatness. But tell me, why are they selling it if it’s so great?…Here’s why.
There is a lot of money to be made by selling products as oppose to just using them, even if they’re great. So basically start selling instead of just buying!
If you’ve been trying to make money online for a while but haven’t had much success or are not quite where you would like to be, here’s what you need to do:
Number one you need to stop chasing for the magic formula. Sure you can keep looking for that magic fix but even if you find one, how long will it work for?
Surely what you want to build is a real business that brings in consistent profits month after month, year after year. Not some quick money scheme that only works for a while.
This might take some doing especially at first but your hard work and persistence will pay of in the long run. You’ll need to learn about managing your own website, how to attract leads, how to build lists with an autoresponder, how to get traffic etc. In essence you will need to set up some sort of a sales funnel that people go through.
At the top of your sales funnel is your lead generation, where leads come into the system and hand you their details purely for the fact that you have offered them something of value for free. This is where a great icentive and squeeze page come into play.
Second, concentrate on providing free quality information to your readers so that you begin to build trust. You need to really help them and mean it. Whenever you promote affiliate products or services make sure you’ve actually used them yourself and believe in them. This is so that you only promote quality products that give true value to your subscribers. You do all of this to build a quality list of buyers instead of just having a big list that is very unresponsive which is no good to you.
Third, marketers know what you want to hear and they use that knowledge to sell to you. People who believe there might be a magic button are the ones that are sold to by these marketers over and over again.
What you need to do is stop buying the magic button claims, the quick money schemes or anything like that and start selling…Start building your true business.
Check out the advantages of selling:
- The sales process is controlled by you
- You get other people to become your affiliates and send you traffic
- You can build a list of buyers
- You can build your reputation and credibility
- You make a hell of a lot more money
Even if you don’t have a product to sell it doesn’t matter because you can buy rights to other quality products and set them up real quick.
Once set up you can find affiliates to promote for you and also you can create joint ventures with other product owners.
This means you can start selling, build your lists, build your business and make more money online.

So you’ve been knocking around the internet trying to find answer, trying to make ends meet. Every time you think you’re making progress something tugs and holds you back from being the next great success story. But, what could be holding someone back so much when they are starting out?
Maybe it’s not having a great product or service to sell?
Wait, that can’t be it…You can find great products and services by just doing some research and testing. Scan the net to see what other’s are saying, buy, test and see if something is worth promoting. Know days you shouldn’t be buying anything without a solid guarantee so why not actually see what the product is like and find out if it’s worth your time and effort. If it’s no good get your cash back and move on to the next one until you find something that will be profitable.
Ok, so maybe it’s not taking enough action.
That definitely is a bit of a problem. I mean there’s only so much reading and learning you can do. Without taking action on your newly acquired knowledge it won’t go far. But if you have a burning desire to succeed, taking action is something you are ready to do, right?
Unfortunately it’s not that easy, because it’s the reason most people fail to take action in the first place.
Right, here we go. The number one thing that stands in between you and some serious in coming cash flows is info overload. That’s right, you have to master info overload and really focus through the vast amount of information that’s out there. Otherwise you’ll be left for dust.
You get bombarded with so much information know days that it becomes hard to cipher through it all and work out what you need to do.
There’s just too many path’s to follow, too many model’s to pursue, too many experts to listen to.
Too many choices…So what do you do?
FOCUS And SIMPLIFY…
- Focus on taking the first steps and start a chain reaction of action. You need to get the ball rolling so concentrate hard on what needs to be done to reach your goal’s.
- Focus on small steps so as to minimize confusion and help keep you on track.
- Focus on making sure you don’t get distracted. There’s to many distractions especially online and it’s easy to waste your time without realising it.
- Focus on writing down a plan and setting clear goals and tasks.
- Focus on congratulating yourself when you achieve something, even if it’s only a little thing it’s important to keep encouraging yourself.
- Simplify things, you don’t need to learn everything when starting out. Just enough to get the momentum flowing.
- If you start getting confused, simplify by going back to basics and work your way from there.
So there you have it, maybe not the answer you we’re looking for but the truth.
